We sometimes fail to appreciate life,
Look at people in a different light.
We sometimes walk up and down the street looking at the sun so bright,
But look at the lady who is mistreated as a wife
She’s sitting next to a man who stabbed himself with a knife,
Who’s the father of a child who’s battling a life-fulfilled fight
But we turn the corner and there I am on the right-
There’s oh little me worrying about why I’m such a low-life.
Why do we worry about our heartbreaks
Why do we worry about our curves and edges
Because those who appreciate life go day by day with sake
Worrying about petty little things can cause a major wedge
There is more to life upon your awake
So we all should start by saying thank you and take this pledge
